Directors

All our present Directors are professionally qualified Chartered Valuation Surveyors who are actively involved in the day-to-day operation of the practice. The Directors are:

Mr. Afra Raymond holds the BSc in Land Administration and Valuation from the University of East London and qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1993.

Afra’s specialisations are Project Management, Housing Development and Planning & Development; his professional publications include "Make Quality part of the Test – Towards a Housing Quality Index’ in Voluntary Housing November 1994 and ‘Risk is something you can’t gamble on’ in Inside Housing 7th July 1995.

Afra joined the partnership in 1995 as an Associate and became a partner in 1996, he is now its Managing Director.

Mr. Raymond is a member of the Board of Directors of the Trinidad Building and Loan Association; and a part-time Lecturer for final year (B.Sc. Programme) in Land Economics at the School of Surveying, U.W.I, St. Augustine.

He has served on a number of Boards in various positions including Executive Member of the Federation of Black Housing Organizations (FBHO) in London, Director of EPL Properties Limited (EPL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Eastern Credit Union (ECU) and Immediate Past-President of the Institute of Surveyors of Trinidad & Tobago (ISTT). Afra is also a member of the Trinidad and Tobago Transparency Institute.

Mr. Raymond was elected President of the Joint Consultative Council for the Construction Industry (JCC) in December 2010. The JCC is an umbrella group comprising -

Mr. Braithwaite hold a BA in Economics and History (1983) from the University of the West Indies and the BSc. (Hons) in Property Valuations & Management (1987) from City University in London; he qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1994.

Mr. Braithwaite joined the firm in 1988, becoming a Partner in 1993, he has specialised in Property Valuation and now heads the Valuation Department at the firms Head Office as well as managing our Chaguanas Office.

Mr Neil Romany joined Raymond & Pierre in 1986, and has gained more than 15 years experience in the field of property valuations. He acquired his qualifications via Distance Learning programs as he climbed the corporate ladder.

He was appointed an Associate Director on 1st April, 2006 following his success in the Diploma in Valuations examinations of The Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.

Mr Romany is based at our Chaguanas branch.

Mr. Bally has been based at the firm's San Fernando branch since April 2003. Since joining the firm he pursued a course of study with the College of Estate Management and attained his Bsc. (Hons) in Estate Management in 2008. In June 2010 he was elected a Professional Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS). Effective August 3, 2010 Mr Bally has been appointed as an Associate director by the firm.

VALUATION ASSISTANTS

Eight (8) Valuation Assistants, four (4) of these assistants are currently studying Valuation and Property Management by correspondence courses from the UK.
